UIRA (verb)to flash, gleam, (noun)glow
UIRA means to flash like lightening and to glow like a comforting fire throwing light into a dark night. It evokes memories as a child stoking the fire on the shores of KariKari point (Te Tahuna o Rangataua) maintaining the glow so mum, dad and my brothers could find their way back from night floundering. I consider myself a torch bearer and navigator here to help others.
UIRA builds upon my previous successful consultancy, Papakainga Solutions Ltd (2008 - 2019) where I specialised in Papakainga housing enabling over 250 homes on Whenua Maori and Treaty Settlement land for Maori Communities.
UIRA for me, captures concepts of expansion - pushing boundaries, dynamic new ideas and innovation, guidance, care and navigation. I established UIRA Consulting to reflect and represent my personal evolution and brand, my professional growth and experience over the last two decades and allows me to continue the positive transformative work I do for the people and organisations I work.
